Fairmount Sherpa

The tug ‘Fairmount Sherpa’ has successfully towed jack-up drilling rig ‘Baharia I’ to her new position in the Zeit Bay oil field in the Gulf of Suez.

A new tug ‘Yong Gang Tuo 29’, built specifically for ship-handling operations in the Ningbo Port area, has recently been delivered to her owners, the Ningbo Port Group of China, from Zhenjiang Shipyard.

Harvey Bisso completes its first subsea project

Harvey Bisso Subsea has completed its first subsea project performing saturation diving work in 105 metres of water at ATP Oil & Gas Corporation’s deepwater platform in Grand Isle block 115.

Transocean has released an update regarding a fire and explosion onboard its semi-submersible drilling rig ‘Deepwater Horizon’, saying that the rig sank late on April 22.

Diamond Offshore Drilling has reported a net income for the first quarter of 2010 of US$290.9 million, or US$2.09 per share on a diluted basis, compared with net income of US$348.6 million, or US$2.51 per share on a diluted basis, in the same period a year earlier.
