Marco Polo lands contract for eight offshore barges

Marco Polo Marine has secured a ship-building contract to construct eight offshore barges with an existing customer, worth approximately US$2.73 million. Construction of the barges is expected to begin this month at Marco Polo’s shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, with delivery scheduled in October.

Royal Boskalis Westminster has been awarded a contract worth approximately €30 million (US$41 million) to provide and install a submarine fibre-optic cable across the Strait of Magellan, Argentina.
