London Gateway Port

Dubai-headquartered DP World announced yesterday that London Gateway, the new UK shipping port and logistics centre project, will open in the fourth quarter of 2013 with an initial capacity of 1.6 million TEUs. WorleyParsons has been awarded a contract to provide procurement and construction management services for the first stage of the development of the new Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal, near Gladstone in Queensland. Mitsui OSK Lines has announced a revision of its consolidated business outlook for the first half of the 2011 financial year. MOL said it now expects a net loss for the first half, having previously forecast a US$13 million profit.
