Chinese shipyard builds the most sophisticated supertanker.

It will start its maiden voyage from Guangzhou later this month. At three times the size of an American aircraft carrier, the vessel is believed to be the world’s largest tanker.

Brightoil Petroleum (Holdings), a marine bunkering service provider in China, has taken delivery of its first ocean-going tanker in Singapore. The vessel was purchased in November 2009 for US$52.5 million.
