In 2009, China and India accounted for 27 percent of the world’s total crude trade volume of 690 million tonnes, a stake which is set to rise.

The number of bulk carriers delivered worldwide reached 190 units in the first quarter of 2010, according to the Korea Shipowners’ Association.
