Ships are a good place to start in the development of a hydrogen economy aimed at achieving long-term emissions reductions. The global shipbuilding sector should seek growth opportunities from the offshore industry, according to Oh Kong-gyun, chairman and CEO of the Korean Register.

Speaking at the recent 4th Seoul International Shipbuilding and Maritime Conference in South Korea, Oh explained that while the world fleet is continuing to grow, the number of new orders decreased within the period 2006-09.
