BP’s profit boosts

BP boosted its profit in the fourth quarter last year to US $4.614 Billion compared with $3.447 Bn a year ago on a replacement cost basis. For the full year 2010 BP’s profit figure nosedived however to $4.914 Bn, compared with $13.955 Bn in 2009.

Rig giant Ensco says one of the upgraded semi-submersibles in its fleet is headed for Brazil under a new 950-day drilling deal starting in the third quarter this year worth up to US $30.4 million.
